The several categories of recreational vehicle (RV) types will be explored. Each type of RV will be discussed in terms of what it is and some of its features. There are basically seven types of RVs, with many makes and models available for each type. The seven types are:

• Pop-up
A pop-up camper is a 2 wheel unit that can be towed behind a van, pickup truck, or SUV. It is soft sided, collapses down for towing, and cranks up for camping use. It would have a sink, stove, and small refrigerator. A pop-up would most likely be used for weekend outings and vacations, sleeping four fairly comfortably.

• Truck Camper
A truck camper attaches in the bed of a pickup truck. It is generally a hard sided unit, but some have soft sides that require the unit to be cranked up for use. It would have a small kitchen, furnace, A/C, and sometimes a bathroom. A truck camper would again most likely be used for short duration outings as the interior is small, sleeping 2 comfortably.

• Trailer
A trailer camper is generally a 2 axle unit that requires a pickup truck or van to tow it. These rigs are hard sided units with many available features. You could expect to find a full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, furnace and A/C in these units. They are designed for long term living, with the floor plan determining how many can comfortably be accommodated, which is usually between two and six.

• Fifth Wheel
A fifth wheel camper is a trailer type that has a hitch point that attaches the unit into the bed of a pickup truck. These units can be quite elaborate and large, with wall slide outs that increase the available living space. You will find all features for full time living, including kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, etc. They are usually designed for two people, but would have space for one or two guests.

• Class B
A class B is designed on a van chassis, with the interior converted for living. These units have all of the features needed for long term living, just on a smaller scale. Their main advantage is that you can use them as your living quarters and also as your main source of transportation. They are designed for use by two people.

• Class C
A class C is a motorized unit designed on a large truck chassis. There will be a sleeping area over the cab and a main sleeping area in the rear. Again, all standard features are in these rigs, including kitchen and bathroom. They are set up for long term or full time living for two people, with space for two guests comfortably.

• Class A
A class A is the large motorized unit that can approach the size of a bus. They have all the features necessary for full time living, with king size beds and some times a second bathroom available. They are designed for use by two people for extended living and/or travel. The units can be either gas or diesel powered. They can tow a car, which is needed for local transportation when traveling in a class A.

No Apology, But Obama Says Las Vegas Is Good Getaway

LAS VEGAS – President Barack Obama says Las Vegas is a good place for a quick visit, but is offering no apologies for remarks some say damaged the city's convention business.

Obama said at Nellis Air Force Base on Wednesday that there's nothing like a quick, midweek trip to Vegas. He singled out the city's sights and sounds. The comment drew cheers and applause, and Obama grinned.

In February, the president said companies getting government bailouts shouldn't buy corporate jets or go to Vegas or the Super Bowl on the taxpayer's dime. Obama at the time was trying to muster support for government stimulus projects.

Mayor Oscar Goodman and others have said Obama should apologize. Goodman was among those greeting Obama upon his arrival Tuesday.

Travel Tips From A Professional Traveler

When you travel, whether it is a business trip or a vacation or holiday trip you need to get hold of a few tips.

First of all if it is vacation or holiday trip you want to know where you are going. You want to go to a place where you can relax on the beach, or maybe you want to go to a place where you can just stay inside your hotel room and sleep all day and not be bothered, maybe there is a chance that you want to go to a place just to do shopping.

On a business trip you do not have a choice as to where you have to go, and if your company is paying for the flight fees and the hotel chances are that you really do not have a choice as to which flight to catch, or which hotel to stay in. However, you can make a few choices of your own, like what clothes to take, what book to read on the plane, and what to pack. Also, if you find that you will have a few minutes, or any hour to spare in between meetings then you could use that time to do other things, like shopping, sleeping or relaxing on the beach.

Maybe you always wanted to take in a play at the theater. If you find that you have a few hours to play with, make sure that you find a few travel tips for the city you are going to.

You will look for things like what to do, where to go, what to see, and things like this. Look for things that just generally interest you. Before you leave for your flight, make sure that you have everything written down, because if our only have a few hours to spend you do not want to spend the bulk of them looking for thing to do in the city you are in.

Take with you names and numbers to taxi or cab services, emergency numbers for that city, make sure that your cell phone can roam and do not forget to take your charger with.

Venezuelan youth orchestra wins rave reviews in London

LONDON, England (AFP) -- A Venezuelan orchestra founded to help youngsters escape poverty won rave reviews in Britain on Wednesday after arriving in London.

The Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra wowed audiences and critics with its first shows at London's Festival Hall on Tuesday, when they began a five day residency.

"Never was an invading army more welcome," said The Independent newspaper's critic Michael Church, noting that the orchestra which took London by storm two years ago in the Royal Albert Hall had had "a glorious start to the residency."

Conductor Gustavo Dudamel said the difficult background of many of the young musicians, growing up in poverty in Venezuela, made their success all the more important.

"When you have around you life, drugs, crime, the best that you can give to a kid is an instrument. Then they can change their lives," he told the BBC.

The Guardian's critic Erica Jeal gave them the full five stars, saying: "Is this the best orchestra in the world? No. But the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra is classical music's hottest ticket, and with good reason."

For The Times, Neil Fisher also gave five stars, describing the explosive energy, almost like at a football game, as some of the orchestra's 180 players at times let rip with their own clothes.

"To general and mounting hysteria... jackets were ripped off and hurled into the crowd. Were we at the Southbank Centre or San Siro stadium? Sometimes it was hard to tell," he wrote.

Lavishing praise on the conductor, The Guardian's Jeal added: "Would the orchestra be what it is without Dudamel?

"Perhaps it would be more pertinent to put that question the other way around. What is certain is that there is a symbiosis here between conductor and ensemble that is quite electric."

A Travel to Antarctica Is An Escapade Similar To No Other
