2010 NASCAR Las Vegas Tickets - The Las Vegas Motor Speedway ~ Toby Lightman "Nascar Love" Live at Talladega

brought to you by: AHMTRAVEL.COM
By Christopher DiCicco

Las Vegas Motor Speedway annually welcomes over 100,000 NASCAR fans to this event, bringing in the cream of the crop to compete for points in The Chase for the Sprint Cup. Over the years since its inception in 1998 the race formerly known as the UAW-Dodge 400 has been a springboard for drivers like Jimmie Johnson (3 time winner), Jeff Gordon (2 time winner), and Matt Kenseth (2 time winner), to get the jump on the rest of the pack.

The Vegas Motor Speedway has consistently been one of the hottest NASCAR tour stops in America, and there's little question why. If you're a local fan, or want to plan a group trip or family vacation, these Las Vegas 350 tickets are the perfect way to spend a weekend. The Track has the distinction of being the second newest super speedway to be built in the southwest region of the United States in more than 20 years (only the California Speedway in Fontana is newer). But it also holds another distinction: LVMS is one of the hottest racing facilities in the country. It's is a mere 11 miles from the famous Las Vegas Strip, where every conceivable form of adult and family entertainment is available. The Las Vegas 400 is a perfect opportunity to see exciting Nextel Cup racing and at the same time satisfying your craving for the glitz, glamor, and non-stop excitement that Las Vegas is known for. The Tracks property also has a paved short track called The Bullring, a 1/2 mile clay oval dirt track and a drag strip on site. Action Jackson Sports Tours has a race tour package available for this stock car race. The Las Vegas Motor Speedway, home to the famous Neon Garage, has the distinction of being the first completely new superspeedway to be built in the southwest region of the United States in more than 20 years. It will indeed have a different feel this year as the track underwent major renovations since they last visited the 1.5-mile oval last March. The banking in the turns was previously 12 degrees; however, track officials expect the racing to improve now that the banking has been elevated to 20 degrees.

The speedway just recently constructed the Dale Earnhardt Terrace, a new and fabulous 22,000-seat grandstand overlooking the front straightaway, which opened for the 2004 UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400. In 2005, the speedway announced the construction of the 14,000-seat Richard Petty Terrace, which just opened for the 2006 event. These newly constructed terraces are bringing more and more fame and publicity to this already popular raceway.

The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a 1500 acre race track that has been a long standing spectacle for all of the tourists of Las Vegas Nevada. From the lights to the race tracks, Las Vegas has been increasingly growing as a hot spot for anyone, young and old. What a wonderful trip to make to this awesome speedway with your family and friends and have the close proximity of the Vegas Strip nearby.

Shopping Las Vegas

brought to you by: AHMTRAVEL.COM

Las Vegas shopping. The peak of luxury in a city that prides itself on extravagance. The casinos increase in size every year and the city has incorporated the visitors desire to win money into the desire to spend it in the same place. The luxurious hotel rooms and sprawling casinos now share the limelight with some of the most famous and high end retail names on the planet.

Rolex, Prada, Louis Vuitton. The list is almost endless. It also constantly evolving. If you want to see some of the latest designs in fashion, jewelry, or eat the latest gourmet dish from a legendary chef, then you will find it all under one roof in any one of the Las Vegas Strip malls.

When a person decides to go on a Las Vegas Shopping trip they have a multitude of options at their disposal. Each casino will have its own anchor stores actually in the casino area. These stores typical sell jewelry, suits, purses, and other high ticket items. It is these stores where you are most likely to encounter the million dollar diamond necklaces and multi thousand dollar suits. Each casino will have its own selection of stores, but any shopper can rest assured that they will be amazed.

As the casinos realised that while the men gambled, the ladies wanted to shop, the casino mall evolved to meet this growing demand. Several shopping locations in Las Vegas grew to dominate this emerging trend.

Forum Shops, Caesars Palace.

This mall is amazing to walk through let alone shop within its beautiful halls. Modeled on a Roman theme, its architecture includes pillars rising to the roof, ornate fountains, and even an aquarium. In recent years a new section was added to the mall which is built around a three story tower that has a spiral escalator system at its center. This tower and its ornate interior have to be seen to be believed. Within this mall one hundred and sixty five of the most luxurious stores and restaurants await shoppers.

Grand Canal Shops, Venetian Casino

The Grand Canal shops are yet another display of pure luxury. As the name suggests this mall is built around canals and have a very Venice orientated feel. Even Gondolas glide along the canals which run through the mall with the pedestrian walkways leading alongside, with ornate bridges criss crossing the waterways. As I'm sure you can imagine all this extravagance hints at the quality of stores to be found within this location...

Miracle Mile, Planet Hollywood Casino.

Designed with a more modern feel, The Miracle Mile is home to over one hundred and seventy stores. When planning a day of Las Vegas Shopping, this mall should definitely be on your list. This mall has a more modern and informal feel to some of the other malls. Not that this makes it any more or less luxurious than the other malls. Far from it. Where the other malls have based their atmosphere and design on old world architecture, the Miracle Mile has rooted its design firmly in the now. Neon lights and entertainers are to be found within as are some of the most trendy brand names on the market today.

This article is just a taste of the vast array of Las Vegas shopping opportunities. The list of stores within these malls is always evolving and new heights of luxury become available. There are stores for everyones taste and if there's a designer you seek, Las Vegas is most likely the place you will find them.

Las Vegas Shopping, has to be seen to be believed.

Las Vegas Attractions: There's More To Do Than Gamble

brought to you by: AHMTRAVEL.COM

Las Vegas is one of the most famous and exciting cities in the United States. Known for its gambling, its entertainment venues, its fast weddings and even its seedier side, Las Vegas is an unforgettable place. Whether you're visiting for a weekend or a couple of weeks, you'll find something to do every day and every night. You could spend a month or more in the city and still not experience everything that Vegas has to offer.

The first thing that you'll want to do when planning a trip is to find the right hotel. There are hotels to suit any budget level. Even if you don't have the money to actually stay there, every visitor should pay a visit to the Bellagio Hotel. Outside the Bellagio is the famous fountain display, which runs throughout the day every day. Dazzling jets of water are choreographed to various different musical tracks - it's a must-see show.

That just goes to show you what type of place Las Vegas is - even the hotels have built-in entertainment. The Bellagio isn't the only one, either. There's a volcanic eruption at the Mirage Hotel, a lion Habitat at the MGM Grand, and many, many more. You could easily spend several nights in Vegas just visiting all of the hotel shows.

Of course, if you're going to visit Las Vegas, you've got to spend a little bit of time gambling. There are dozens and dozens of casinos all over the city. Again, there's something for every budget level, whether you just want to spend a couple dollars on slots or whether you're a card playing high roller. Many of the casinos also feature luxurious restaurants and entertainment events, such as comedy acts and live music. One casino, the RIO, features a Mardi Gras style parade that is actually suspended over the gambling floor.

Vegas is also home to many popular attractions of the non-gambling variety. You can see many of them by just walking down the Strip, but there are also free and paid monorail systems to help travelers get around. Some of the attractions that you might want to check out include the World of Coca Cola and the M&M Factory. Those are just the tip of the iceberg, however, and there are many more museums, art galleries, and more esoteric attractions to check out.

Las Vegas is also the home to many famous shows and events. If you want to see some of these shows, it's a good idea to plan in advance so you can be sure to get tickets. One of the most famous shows found there is the Cirque du Soleil. Getting tickets to one of these shows can be difficult, but it is well worth the effort.

On top of all these things, there's a lot more to do in Vegas. There are hundreds of wonderful restaurants serving a variety of different styles of food. There are vast shopping districts offering any product you could ever want to find. Las Vegas is just packed full of interesting things to see and fun things to do - you won't regret making the trip.

Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel ~ Las Vegas The Pool Party Headquarters ~ Travel Guide - Las Vegas, Nevada

brought to you by: AHMTRAVEL.COM

My first experience with the Las Vegas phenomenon known as "Daylife" occurred two years ago, when I accepted a friend's invitation to the Hard Rock Hotel's world-famous Rehab pool party. Midafternoon on a random summer Sunday, sardined inside a crush of humanity, weaving my way through thousands with sculpted "Hard Bodies" , trying to find shade from the badgering sun and a less-crowded perch from which to view the party.

Settling on a bridge, I watched what could only be described as a nightclub Poolside: DJ, booming sound system, overpriced drinks and gorgeous cocktail servers making big tips.

Such is the essence of "Daylife". Equal parts spring break revelry and outdoor nightclub, these pool parties have taken on a life of their own since Rehab opened in 2004.

As a member of TraVerus there are several ways to go about getting a discount for a hotel room. Start with calling the toll free phone number of the hotel and ask for reservations. Then tell them that you are a travel agent and would like to know if they have agent discounts available at their hotels in the city you are traveling to.

For Example:
You are planning to go to Las Vegas, NV on October 10th. You call 1-800-Holidays and tell them that you’re an agent and ask which hotels in the city are offering agent discounts for that night. They will give you several with different locations. They will ask for your IATAN number. You give them TraVerus’ IATAN number. They have 1 hotel on the river walk for $89.00 agent rate, normal rate is $225.00, by the airport for $59.00, normal rate is $145.00, and one by Circus Circus for $59.00 normal rate is $175.00.

They will quote you the rate for the hotels and you can make your decisions from there. Some hotel chains will have you call the hotel directly and ask if they have any agent rates available. Also, some Las Vegas hotels have agent’s rates available but you must go through their program to qualify.

Pool parties have become big business for hotels and another reason to come to Vegas. Rehab grossed $6 million in 2007, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times. That year, Mandalay Bay Beach finished a $30 million expansion with the Beachside Casino, a first-of-its-kind amenity. Now more than 30 casino pools feature a nightclub-style party element during the day. The newest entrant into this competitive market, Daydream at M Resort, debuted in March.

See a list of Attractions, Tours and Activities, Outdoor Activities, Dining, Transportation, and Other Services in Las Vegas, Nevada

"A lot of credit goes to Rehab for making Las Vegas a pool-party destination. But what's happened over the years is that "Daylife" has become more sophisticated. And we think we've taken that sophistication to an even higher level," said Justin Litterelle, vice president of business development for Las Vegas Nightlife Group.

Like the city's diverse nightclub scene, "Daylife" parties offer something for nearly every taste. Where Rehab is raucous (check out its reality show on the TruTV cable network), the newly opened Azure at the Palazzo touts refinement, with poolside massages from Canyon Ranch Spa staff, champagne by the glass, a Wolfgang Puck-operated cafe and daily fashion shows with apparel from Palazzo retailers such as Barneys New York and Tory Burch.

At Bare Pool Lounge at the Mirage, the focus is on VIP service and intimacy. It's one of 11 pools with private, topless sunbathing open to the public, including Beach Club 25 (Stratosphere), the Cherry Cabana Club (Red Rock), Go (Flamingo), the Golden Nugget, Moorea Beach (Mandalay Bay), Pond (Green Valley Ranch), Sapphire (Rio), Tao Beach (Venetian), Venus (Caesars Palace) and Wet Republic (MGM Grand). At Encore and Wynn, topless bathing is available only to hotel guests.

Wet Republic at MGM Grand has the Strip's only saltwater pools. The 53,000-square-foot venue features a pull-up valet and dedicated parking lot as well as a 2,500-square-foot covered lounge and a 4,100-square-foot pool deck that doubles as an entertainment stage.

Poolside concerts are all the rage, with the likes of Kanye West, Nelly Furtado and Crosby, Stills and Nash performing at the Cherry Cabana Club.

Like a Vegas nightclub, "Daylife" pool parties can leave a huge hole in your wallet. It starts with cover charges: upward of $20 for women and $40 for men. Then come the drinks, which start flowing as early as 9 a.m. and can run as high as $15 for a margarita. Bottle service, all the rage in nightclubs, is also popular among "Daylife" revelers willing to spend large up to $300 for a bottle of rum,( Cristal fetches $1,000-plus for da playas) to have a good time.

Private cabanas, the "Daylife" versions of nightclub VIP tables, cost as much as $3,000. Most cabanas come stocked with nearly every conceivable creature comfort. Those at the Venetian's Tao Beach have HD plasma TVs, Xbox 360 consoles, Internet access, sandals and preprogrammed iPod rentals.

No Apology, But Obama Says Las Vegas Is Good Getaway

LAS VEGAS – President Barack Obama says Las Vegas is a good place for a quick visit, but is offering no apologies for remarks some say damaged the city's convention business.

Obama said at Nellis Air Force Base on Wednesday that there's nothing like a quick, midweek trip to Vegas. He singled out the city's sights and sounds. The comment drew cheers and applause, and Obama grinned.

In February, the president said companies getting government bailouts shouldn't buy corporate jets or go to Vegas or the Super Bowl on the taxpayer's dime. Obama at the time was trying to muster support for government stimulus projects.

Mayor Oscar Goodman and others have said Obama should apologize. Goodman was among those greeting Obama upon his arrival Tuesday.
