When visiting Costa Rica, why would you stay at a regular hotel room when you have the option of staying at a fully furnished condo? While hotel rooms of all sorts are available, condo rentals have become a strong competitor; it might be due to the privacy, luxury and freedom you get out of a condo. You can find condos of all sizes and locations. Now if condos aren't your cup of tea then you might want to consider a private home when considering an accommodation for your vacation in Costa Rica.
Costa Rica vacation rentals are rapidly becoming a strong competitor to traditional hotels. The new wave of tourists more often choose to stay in a private condominium or home, especially if traveling in groups of three people or more. However we have seen couples and single visitors choosing rentals to enjoy more space and extra amenities.
Travelers choose to stay in a vacation rental because most of them offer considerably more space than they would find in the typical hotel room, often at a reduced cost. Now, families and groups can vacation together and still have "room to breathe". Private homes offer excellent flexibility, unlike a typical hotel room, most private vacation rentals include laundry and kitchen facilities, meaning that guests do not have to pull around tons of luggage or eat out at every meal.
Many vacation homes in Costa Rica are used frequently by their owners and as such, they are not like the typical "cookie cutter" environment found in hotels and other vacation establishments. No one gives a property more attention and detail than its owner. When choosing a rental, travelers can contact owners or property management companies. Usually these are second homes and the owners live far away. Dealing directly with the owner will grant you even better rates. However it is of vital importance to have someone on site responsible for the property to ensure quick response in case of a problem or concierge service. Sometimes it is better to spend a bit more to ensure a pleasant vacation.
This trend is strongly noticed on Costa Rica's Central Pacific coastline. While thousands of travelers stay in the four star hotels, a growing number choose to stay in the world class condominiums or homes located on the Central Pacific. While having more privacy and space, condo renters also have access to amenities such as a marina, golf course, beach club, casinos, restaurants, bars, 24/7 security and medical service.
