The original Home Based Travel Agent Show and Conference, scheduled for Oct. 7 to 9 in Atlantic City, N.J., is beginning to take shape with the naming of the first keynote speaker.

It will feature a targeted summary of the latest developments in the home-based sector from James Shillinglaw, editor-in-chief of Agent @ Home magazine. Also confirmed as either seminar moderators or panel hosts are Bob Whitley, president of the U.S. Tour Operators Association, and the nationally-renowned business revivalist Keith Powell.

The most recent Home Based event in Chicago in mid-March had 1,084 travel agents registered from across the U.S and Canada and was deemed “highly-successful” by both the travel agent delegates and the participating domestic and international suppliers.

Early bird registration for Atlantic City is priced at $39, effective until June 1. After that, the rate rises to $69. Agents wishing to take advantage of this offer can visit www.homebasedagentshow.com and click on the registration page or call Travel Industry Shows at 925-701-0225 and then hitting “0” for the reception desk.
