YTB International has lost about a half dozen of its directors, with some taking agents with them.
Andy Cauthen, president and COO of YTB, said that while the company is seeing higher turnover than usual, the departures represent a small percentage of directors. The company has about 180 directors who are sales representatives who have achieved a sales organization of a certain size. Directors’ sales organizations range from 5,000 all the way up to 25,000 people. Cauthen said that the economy and a lawsuit filed against the company by the California attorney general’s office could be the reason for the departures. He said that YTB is pleased with the progress it is making on that lawsuit and anticipates a final resolution.
