The Seattle Southside Office of Tourism, which represents the cities of Tukwila, SeaTac, Kent and Des Moines (Southwest King County) reported that tourism supported more than 5,000 jobs there in 2008.
The report, prepared by Dean Runyan Associates for Seattle Southside, indicates that visitors to the four cities in 2008 spent approximately $615.1 million, supporting 5,350 tourism-related jobs and $181 million in wages.
